A mountain seen from far away has a wide foot and a summit drawn in. That form stands a long time because the weight gathers at the bottom, and our cups follow the same line of thinking.
The cinnamon bark keeps the shape of the tree as it is. We make it from a whole length of Tra Bong cinnamon bark, taken from a fifteen-year-old cinnamon tree, so each one carries the particular curl of that length of bark. The grain of the bark differs from tree to tree and from section to section, so stand two jars side by side and you see at once two completely different runs of line. Finishing one jar takes about twenty-four hours, counting the time to treat the bark, build the cup and pour the wax. The jar has a lid, holds one hundred and twenty-five grams of wax, and burns thirty-five to forty hours.
The glass cup stands in the form of a mountain foot. Thick walls, a heavy base; set on a wooden surface it grips firmly. The flame passes through the amber glass and casts a warm ring of light onto the table, like the light of late afternoon on a rock face. The grey concrete cup is heavier still, its face slightly rough, and to the touch it feels close to stream stone. These two ranges hold two hundred and two hundred and twenty grams of wax, and burn about thirty-five to forty hours, the larger jar adding a few hours more.
Where to put them in your home
We usually suggest the cinnamon bark cup for the coffee table, the bookshelf, or a corner that needs something with natural grain to look at. The glass cup suits the bedroom and the desk, because the flame through glass is very soft and the cup is easy to stand beside books. And the concrete cup we save for the living room or a kitchen shelf, where many people pass and there is much wood and fabric around.
Once the wax is gone, all three cups still have work to do. Washed, the glass cup and the concrete cup can hold pens, paper clips or a small plant. The cinnamon bark cup holds the scent of cinnamon a very long time, and many of our customers keep it in the wardrobe where the scent lingers for months.

Does the cinnamon bark cup get hot while burning
The outer wall warms gradually, so stand the jar on a coaster and on a heat-resistant surface, avoiding setting it directly on fabric.
Why do two cinnamon bark jars look different
Because each length of cinnamon bark has its own grain, even two jars made in the same round.
Is the concrete cup very heavy
Heavier than a glass cup of the same size, and for that reason it stands more firmly on a shelf.
