We are asked this almost every week, and usually with one more question attached: can I hold one first. We understand, because with a cup made from tree bark a photograph can only tell part of it.
There are two ways to buy ZUNGZA cinnamon bark candles. The first is to come in person to no. 31, DM6, Van Phuc craft village, Hanoi, where you can hold each cup and choose the grain you like. The second is to order on this site; parcels travel anywhere in Vietnam in about two to five days depending on distance, and we can also send them abroad.
Coming to Van Phuc in person
Van Phuc is Hanoi's old silk craft village, and our place sits inside the workshop quarter there. When you visit you can also see the lengths of cinnamon bark that have not yet been shaped, so it is easy to understand why every cup has a form of its own. If you plan to come and choose several jars at once, a message a session ahead is the most convenient, because some cups are still out in the sun waiting for their shape to settle.
Ordering on the site and receiving at home
For orders from afar we wrap each jar separately, pad the rim carefully and only then close the box. If you would like to choose the grain of the bark, just say so when ordering; we will send photographs of a few we have so you can point to the one that pleases your eye. International orders take longer, and we will tell you the expected timing beforehand.
Buying from abroad
ZUNGZA products have been travelling to the United States, Europe and Australia for some time, through partnerships with businesses and sellers in those places. We have not opened our own shop in those countries, so if you are far away and want to be certain of the source, the simplest way is still to order directly on this site.
A few questions you often send us
Can I see the item before receiving it
In Van Phuc you can see it in person. From afar, we send a real photograph of the very cup you will receive, taken in daylight so you see the true colour of the bark.
How long does delivery to a distant province take
About two to five days depending on distance. Around the end of the year we usually suggest ordering a few days earlier so there is no rush.
How do I get in touch about large orders
Message us directly about the quantity and when you need it. The workshop will arrange the schedule for making the cups, because every length of bark needs its own stretch of drying and shaping.
