On our packing table there are usually two candle jars standing side by side: one cinnamon bark cup in wood brown, one clear glass cup. Many people pick up both and ask the same question, so we are writing it down here to keep it short.
The biggest difference lies in the cup. The cinnamon bark cup is real bark that has been sun-dried, so it is fragrant in itself and adds another layer of scent as the candle warms. Glass is neutral; it keeps the scent of the wax and the oils inside exactly as it is, so you hear precisely the scent you chose. Our cinnamon bark range is one hundred and twenty-five grams and comes with a lid; the glass range has two sizes, two hundred grams and two hundred and twenty grams.
When we suggest the cinnamon bark cup
If you like warm scents and like objects that carry the mark of a human hand, the cinnamon bark cup is an easy choice. It suits a wooden table, a reading corner, days when the air turns crisp. It is also often chosen as a gift, because every cup has its own grain and the person receiving it can see clearly that this is handwork.
One more thing many people like: once the wax is gone the cup is still whole and can keep being used. Dried cinnamon bark holds its scent for a very long time, so it stands on a shelf like a small fragrant object.
When we suggest the glass cup
If you want to try many different directions of scent, from old forest to citrus or lavender, the glass cup lets you hear each one clearly with no base layer cutting in. The two hundred and twenty gram size also lasts longer, suiting a large living room or evenings when guests come over.
Clear glass also lets you see the flame through the wall of the cup, a small detail that many people keep as an evening habit.

Many of our regular customers keep both. The glass cup for days when they want to change scent, the cinnamon bark cup for days when they want to come back to a familiar place. Both use soy wax blended by ZUNGZA and a cotton wick, so the way you light them and care for them is the same.

A larger size holds more wax, so the two hundred and twenty gram glass cup usually covers a bigger room. For a small room of about fifteen square metres, the cinnamon bark jar is just right.
The cinnamon bark cup has a lid; what about the glass one
The cinnamon bark range comes with a lid. With the glass cup, keeping the candle somewhere with little dust and wiping the wax surface gently before lighting is enough.
Which range should I start with
If this is your first candle jar and you like warm scents, start with cinnamon bark. If you are still looking for the direction of scent that suits you, the glass cup gives you more turnings to take.
