End-of-year gifts for clients and for staff

At the end of the year, giving gifts at a company usually begins with a very honest question. What can we give that the person will truly use. We hear this often, and we hear what follows too, about last year's gifts still untouched in a cupboard.

Our way of thinking is fairly simple. An end-of-year gift should be something used in the home, usable straight away, and not asking the receiver to find somewhere to store it. A candle jar or a bottle of essential oil stands in exactly that place, because it goes home with the person, is opened on an evening, and reminds them of you at the moment they are resting.

Choosing by two groups of receivers

For clients, the gift carries a representative weight, so we often suggest the two hundred gram glass jar or the two hundred and twenty gram version, wrapped in a paper box or a wooden box as you prefer. If you want the handmade character to show more clearly, the cinnamon cup with a wooden lid is a very distinctive choice, and it is often kept on a desk long after the wax has gone.

For staff, we lean towards things with care in them. A candle jar for the resting corner at home, a 15 ml bottle of essential oil for an evening foot soak, or a 50 ml bottle of perfume for working days. Many companies choose the same item for the whole team so everyone feels treated alike, and then the personal part lies in the handwritten card.

We also see one small thing repeat itself. The gift sets remembered longest usually have few items but the right ones: one candle jar with a letter, rather than a basket full of many things.

Wrapping, writing letters and counting the time

At the workshop we keep wooden boxes, paper boxes, silk cloth, canvas, jute and linen for wrapping, and we do write letters by hand to the wording you send us. Because each style of wrapping is different, we discuss it separately by message, along with the quantity and the date you need it.

As for timing, the end of the year is when both the workshop and the delivery routes are busiest. For large orders, it is best to message us about three to four weeks before the day of giving. That stretch is enough for us to pour the candles in rounds, let the wax cool at its proper rhythm, wrap each box by hand, and then send them out within about two to five days depending on distance.

If your list of receivers is spread across several provinces, we can send to each address. For receivers abroad, we send worldwide, and every route needs extra time, so count a little earlier.

A few questions you often send us

Does ZUNGZA take large gift orders

Yes; message us the quantity and the date you need it, and we will choose the items and the style of wrapping with you.

Can a company name be printed on the gift

For the card and the handwritten letter you are free with the wording. For any other particular wishes about wrapping, message us and we will discuss it order by order.

How far ahead should I order

Three to four weeks before the day of giving is the most comfortable stretch for large orders, because candles need time to cool and every box is wrapped by hand.
