There is one question we receive almost every day, and it usually comes after you have chosen what you like. When will it arrive. That question sounds very technical, but behind it there is usually an appointment, a birthday at the weekend, or an evening you have already pictured, with something you will light.
So we will say it briefly first. Within Vietnam, ZUNGZA delivers at one single rate to every province, and for large enough orders we take care of that part for you. Parcels usually arrive within about two to five days depending on distance. If you are outside Vietnam, we can send too, anywhere in the world, and the timing depends on the route.
Why one rate for the whole country
At first we did charge by region, as most small workshops do. Then someone in Dien Bien wrote back to say they liked a candle jar but that with the postage added it came to more than someone in Hanoi buying the same thing. That line stayed with us quite a while.
We grew up in a region just as far away, so we understand the feeling that everything reaching your place costs a little more. From then on the postage became one single rate for the whole country, and the difference when a parcel travels a long way we take on ourselves. Past a certain order threshold we take care of that part entirely, as a way of saying thank you for orders where you choose several pieces at once.
How a candle jar is wrapped before it sets out
A jar candle knocks easily, especially a glass cup. Each jar is lined with a layer of paper around the wall, stood upright in the box, with all four corners packed so it stays in one place the whole journey. The cinnamon bark cup has a lid, so the lid is wrapped separately, while for the other cup ranges we add extra paper on top.
Perfume and essential oil travel in a box with dividers, lying flat or standing depending on the shape of the bottle, and always sealed at the neck so that even if the box is set upside down everything stays put. We have kept this way of packing for quite a while now, after many lessons drawn from long journeys, including those to the United States, Europe and Australia.
If your parcel is a gift, we offer gift wrapping and handwritten letters. Wooden boxes, paper boxes, silk cloth, canvas, jute and linen are all at the workshop, and because each style of wrapping is different we discuss it separately by message to suit your occasion.
A few questions you often send us
How is delivery within the country calculated
One single rate for all provinces in Vietnam, and for large enough orders ZUNGZA takes care of the postage for you. The exact rate appears at the ordering step.
How many days until it arrives
Usually two to five days: nearer is faster, further adds a few days. In the end-of-year peak, it is best to order a week earlier than the day you need it.
Can ZUNGZA send abroad
Yes, we send worldwide. Tell us where it is going and we will let you know a suitable way of sending and the expected time for that route.
Where do I go to collect in person
Come to our workshop and direct sales point at no. 31, DM6, Van Phuc craft village. There you can light one, smell it, and take home what you chose the same day.
